Non-Heroes
Non-Heroes (非英雄) is a four-player cooperative card game where ordinary workers — not chosen heroes — team up to out-race a shared boss. It is in active development at Pie AI Studio.
Premise
No chosen ones. Four ordinary people each bring a worktype — a setter, a trigger, an amplifier, a control, a guardian — and win by cooperating, not by being special. The world is rendered as a hand-made clay-figurine diorama.
Worktype combo combat
Cards combine so that one plus one beats two. A setter primes the field, a trigger detonates it, and matching elements chain into multiplier reactions. The current slice proves deterministic setup-and-trigger combos between two cooperating players.
Current status
We are building a commercial vertical slice: a four-player parallel boss race with a six-hero worktype roster. You can play the in-development public preview now.
What works today
A real cooperation combo has been proven end-to-end: four browser sessions driving an authoritative game server and a pure rules engine, producing a multiplier reaction with on-screen worktype identity and combo feedback.
This is an in-development public preview; the experience keeps iterating.
